How it works

Three links in the chain

  1. 1

    Request

Post what you need and your budget (flexible is fine), plus any details or photos that help paint the picture.

  2. 2

    Match

A seller who has it, or can track it down, makes you an offer. We'll ask a few questions to pin down exactly what you want.

  3. 3

    Link

Accept the offer and pay through Squidlink. The seller ships it and gets paid once you confirm it arrived as described.

What we find

Eight arms, every direction

Products

Parts, gear, collectibles, materials, bulk orders — new, used, or discontinued.

Services

Contractors, specialists, makers and freelancers who can actually get the job done.

Hard-to-find

The rare, the custom, the "I've looked everywhere" — that's where we shine.

Pricing

Simple, and only when it works

No listing fees, no subscriptions. Squidlink earns only when a sale goes through.

For buyers

Free

to post requests and get offers

  • Pay only when you accept an offer
  • You pay the price you agreed to — nothing added by us
  • Payment held until your item arrives as described

For sellers

12%

of the sale price, only when a sale completes

  • Free to browse requests and make offers
  • Set your own price — found it for less? The difference is yours
  • Paid out once the buyer confirms delivery

Example: a buyer wants an iPad for $500

Buyer pays
$500
Squidlink fee (12%)
−$60
Seller receives
$440

If the seller found that iPad for $350, they keep $90 after the fee.

    FAQ

    Good questions

Does it cost anything to post a request?

No. Posting a request is free and there's no obligation to buy. You only pay the price you agree to when you accept an offer.

    What happens after I post?

We review every request and may ask a few clarifying questions on your private request page. When a seller can fill it, you'll get an offer to accept or pass on.

    Who are the sellers?

Anyone who has what you want, or knows where to find it: individuals, shops, and service pros. A seller may already own the item or go out and source it for you. Either way, you see one price and decide if it's worth it.

    How is my payment protected?

You pay through Squidlink, not the seller directly. We hold the payment until you confirm your item arrived as described, then release it to the seller.

    How does Squidlink make money?

Sellers pay a 12% fee when a sale completes. Posting requests and receiving offers are free.

What kinds of things can I ask for?

Almost anything legal — physical products, professional services, custom work, or rare items. If it exists, we'll try to find it.

Why should I include reference images?

A picture removes guesswork. Photos, screenshots, or sketches help us match the exact item or style you have in mind.
